Purple Power.

Well October has a lot in store for our Q goers. Firstly, there's the introduction of our brand new cocktail jug 'Heliotrope' named after it's vibrant purple colouring and enjoyed, rumour has it, by the Exmouth Rugby boys. As from the beginning of October, this funky, fruity drink will be available in Qube every Saturday night. It's the perfect sharing drink for you and your friends!

But before September is over, we must wish a massive Happy Birthday to Becky Williams, our longest standing member of Bar Staff.

Happy Birthday from all at Q x

Onwards then to the new twist invented by our internal Ad creator. A spinoff from the firm favourite 'Face of the Q,' we're expecting a fair few of you to join in with our latest photo competition: 'Get your tatts out'. We see lots of tattoos in our photo catalogue so now is your chance to actually win something for showing yours to the camera. If you have a fab tattoo in a reasonable area (no nasty surprises please!) you could land yourself a prize.

Something else to look forward to this October is our Spooky Halloween party night. Ok it's a couple of days early (29th) but it'll be great fun nonetheless. Prizes will of course be awarded to the best and the scariest costume. There will even be something for the freakiest dancer. Don't miss out.

Lead up to Christmas...

As soon as September arrives, there is a general downturn in mood for a while because everyone realises the Summer (or what was supposed to be the Summer) is over and the weather can only get worse from this point on. However, there is some consolation... it means Christmas is drawing ever closer!!!

Still, there are plenty of treats still in store before we reach the festive season. After a brilliant BH Sunday that blew away all of those previous and the last hoorah on Wednesday of Students heading back to their respective Universities and colleges, there are more party nights still to come.

Next Wednesday (14th September) our DJ Graham Daniel will be giving away free shots to the first 50 people to come into the club. That's as well as running his usual weekly 'Birthday Promotions' through Facebook. It's easy to qualify: Add Q Club Wednesday as a friend. Have your Birthday visible on Facebook and we'll send you a message entitling you to FREE entry and a FREE bottle of bubbly on the Wednesday night nearest to your Birthday.

Watch out on Friday nights for our fantastic DJs: Kevin Kane and Sam Zimmerman. They alternate every 2 weeks and ensure lots of variety on the first night of the weekend. As for Saturdays, that's the night out no one is willing to miss. With banging tunes, brilliant atmosphere and Qube chillout zone, it's no wonder everyone flocks to Q.

Super Sunday Time!

Well, it's finally arrived - the last Bank Holiday of the year - so there must be cause for celebration. True, it looks like autumn has arrived and winter will soon be here but then so will Christmas!!

The best thing about a Bank Holiday is always Super Sunday. Everyone gets in the mood and the atmosphere is always buzzing with fun. Don't forget you can avoid the queues by entering through Qube between 11pm and 1am this Bank Holiday Sunday. It's a perfect place to meet with friends too, if you have a large group and there's a chance of some getting lost on the way.

Did you know you can double up on Smirnoff in Qube for just £1? It's a brilliant offer and exclusive to Qube only, so it's worth heading up the stairs for. Plus we still have a few of our fab red wines available at £10 a bottle but hurry, they're getting snapped up fast!

Super Sunday is often a time for fancy dress so make sure, if you're out in costume, you get your picture taken by our DJ. If you do you'll stand a chance of winning 'FACE OF THE Q,' our weekly photo comp, and for one week only, our 'Qute Costume' comp. If you win, your photo will be posted on our screen and you'll be asked to collect your prize from the front desk. Good Luck!!

Have a great weekend. See you in Q!

Bring on the Bank Holiday!

Despite the wintery weather, there's been no shortage of monkeying around and Q has been the centre of fun. We've had some fantastic characters in this past month, some of them holiday makers, some of them stags commuting to Exmouth because they've heard we know how to party and of course, the ever-exuburent locals!

These past 2 Wednesday nights have been positively thumping. It's great to see both dance floors packed with people enjoying a spot of good old cheese. The students and the bootnecks might be on leave but those of you who've returned for the summer have certainly made their absence almost unnoticeable.

One more weekend left before the Bank Holiday and everyone's favourite night out... SUPER SUNDAY!!!
Rememeber, if you want to avoid the queues, you can enter the club via Qube between 11 pm and 1 am. If you've got coats, handbags, brolleys or anything else to hand in though, please use the Q Club cloakroom... Qube does not take in personal items.

Do you know anyone who's celebrating a Birthday this Bank Holiday weekend? Why not make your friend our 'Star of the Screen?' All we need is a few photos and few personal messages and we'll add them to our on-screen advert loop that plays throughout the club, throughout the night.  Why not drop us a line at work4q@gmail.com

August is here!

The arrival of August is met with mixed feelings. Hooray that it's holiday time (especially if you're a teacher) and boo that the summer (most of which has been non-existent this year) is coming to an end. The one thing that always guarantees good cheer however, is the Bank Holiday that comes at the end of the month. It seems ages since we last had a Super Sunday, so we will all be looking forward to this one!!!

Anyway, before we start racing to the end of the month when it's only just begun, we should take a moment to wish everyone who has a Birthday this month a Happy Birthday! In fact the number of you celebrating is colossal. Friends of Cheesy Wednesday Facebook have the added bonus of a personal message plus entry onto the guest list the Wednesday of his or her Birthday. Better still, it usually comes with a bottle of bubbly. So if you're not already friends with our Q-Club Wednesday page request now else you will miss out.

While we're on the subject of Birthdays, we'd like to wish a very special one to Sarah Pyle, one of our longest serving members of staff. We'll spare her blushes by not mentioning her age... this time ;)

Happy Birthday Sarah!
With celebration in the air, it's time for another mention of our Star of the Screen package. Treat your friend to their very own message and photo montage on our screens throughout the night. Up to 8 photos can be used along with personal comments from friends and families. It's a reasonably priced, fabulous gift and we can assure you, your friend will love their five minutes of fame. Email work4Q@gmail.com or message Qube Facebook for more details.

Luvvly Bubbly!

Is it your Birthday? Hen or Stag do? Wedding, Anniversary, leaving do?  The Q Club will help you celebrate.

When it comes to your Birthday, we have so many excellent ways to help get the party started. Firstly, are you a friend of Q Club Wednesday on Facebook? If you are, you'll already know that we send out an invitation to our Wednesday night guest list the week of your birthday. Obviously, if your birth date isn't visible to Q Club Wednesday on Facebook, we won't be able to send anything to you so don't forget to change your settings to be Q friendly.

In addition to this fab freebie, we have launched our great new celebration tool.... Star of the Screen.

Bring your mates to (happy) tears with their own special messages and a montage of photos on our in-house TV screens. You can send up to 8 photos plus personal messages and we'll create their very own surprise photo package to be shown on all our screens throughout the night. And don't worry, the advert is on a loop so if you miss it the first time, you'll be able to see it at regular intervals all night.
The time has past for sticking posters on lamp posts - this unique Star of the Screen package is the perfect way to show your friend you care!

Don't forget, if you are celebrating a special occasion in Q, to book your party well in advance as our guest list gets filled up very quickly. Apply online via our Booking Form and register your group now. Joint entry deals are also available if you wish to combine Q Club & Qube with a visit to Lush! Exotic Dance Club.

Special Offers!

Ooh, it's July. Hard to believe we're just 5 months away from Christmas. We've already welcomed home most of the local students, all of whom have been flocking to Cheesy Wednesdays to enjoy the cheap drinks and to catch up with pals.

All nights have been busy, especially with an influx of holiday makers and locals on post-barbecue booze ups. The atmosphere has been buzzing and it's great to see so many people migrating to Qube on a Saturday for a more chilled drink with pals.

Talking about chilled drinks and Qube, have you seen our fantastic wine offer? Until stocks last, all of our house wines are just £10 per bottle (subject to availability) while stocks last. It's a great offer and one you can share with friends. Ask at the bar for more details.

This week's big shout out goes to our glass collector Jay, turning 18 on Friday 15th. Congratulations Jay. Have a fab night and go easy on the booze ;-)

We're still running our party packages. The perfect gift for any celebration; treat your unsuspecting pal to one of our on-screen event packages. Feature up to 8 photos including private messages on our in-house screens played throughout the night for the best surprise. For more details email work4q@gmail.com or facebook Qube Exmouth.

A Little Bit Freaky.

What a week!

Not sure of your plan this weekend - apart from a night out at Q, of course - but the weathermen are promising a heat wave we're just 'not going to be ready for.' Too right. We've been freezing and wet for the past 2 months... it's not feeling much like summer, that's for sure.

On the upside though, we always have our club goers to add a bit of sparkle amid the gloom. Exmouth is famous now for zany behaviour and there's nothing the local folk love more than a dress-up. Carnival House must have a healthy supply of hilarious (and odd) requests throughout the year.

This Saturday was particularly fruitful for fancy dress. I saw air hostesses, disco divas and pussy cats, to name but a few and it was all in the name of fun. Keep the cozzies coming, they look fab in our photos.

Talking about photos....

A few of you may have noticed a familiar face in Q on Saturday. I heard more than a few 'is it? isn't it?' whispers. So for the doubters, the ones who missed it and the ones who are just plain young to know who everyone was muttering about, here's the photographic proof:

Dane Bowers was indeed in Q Club and fittingly was awarded Face of the Q. So if he does come back this week, he can collect his prize at the front desk.

Time to get Qute

Face of the Q
No disrespect to this week's Face of the Q but the general consensus in our tech department is that the last couple of weeks, the in-house photos have been a bit - how d'ya put it? - uninspiring!
There's nothing our Screen producer loves more than a silly face or better still, a mask. Batman became pretty infamous a while back but we've had nothing remotely similar since. Of course, there's always the attractive expressions of Lizzie (below) to entertain us but staff can't win Face of the Q no matter how deserved.

Lizzie

So that's the challenge then - let's see some cheesy grins, some fiesty pouts, a few bizarre contortions and maybe, just maybe, a masked crusader. We need some entertainment.

Have you seen our new look website? It has had a make over, facelift and revamp. Not only is it easier to navigate, it's more vibrant and includes just about everything you need to know about our 3 venues. You can check it out now at q-club.co.uk

As well as the usual stuff - opening times, prices, gallery - you can also book your party group and apply for a Q Plus Card (Free to apply: saves £1 on entry every night we open). Remember to book your parties well in advance though; our guest list gets full very quick!

Of course we have other methods of keeping you updated too: Befriend Qube Exmouth and QClub Wednesday on Facebook for regular information on promos and special nights, 'Like' "The Q Club" to see new photo uploads and for helpful links and info.

Guys, don't forget to email work4q@gmail.com or info@q-club.co.uk to book your VIP visits to Lush! NEW OFFER joint entry to Lush and Q at discounted rate for pre-booked parties of 5 or more. Includes super speedy access into Q... Perfect for a Saturday Lads night out.

Bring me sunshine!

Ah that’s better! It has to be said, that was the most rubbish May ever! What happened to the weather? It went from murky to murkier and made everyone miserable. For a moment there I was beginning to worry that we had our summer in April and were meant to be content with our lot.

Thank heaven then for the arrival of June. Suddenly the sun has come out and, whoot-woo, we’re all complaining it’s too hot again. I’ve seen a few sunburned shoulders already and I reckon, as the weekend draws on, there’ll be a few more. Everyone’s back in their summer togs now and the boys are loving all those skimpy outfits..So, if you’re looking to sweat off all those barbecues, ice-creams and chilled bottles of white, where better to mosy on down to than Q?

Wednesday had its usual half term surge. No one loves a party more than students and teachers, so it’s no surprise we were packed. It was a great night too – everyone in good spirits.

Time for a bit of Sam Zimmerman this Friday again. He’s on opposites to Kevin Kane and the 2 of them, in their separate ways, are experts at warming up for the weekend.

This Saturday is always a good one, jammed with folk who don’t want the holiday week to end. We expect a lot of dancing, a lot of drinking and oh yes, a lot of cool photos to post on our page.
FACE OF THE Q

Face of the Q, always a favourite with our regulars, has something of a ‘shiver me timbers’ theme this week. If you can identify this blaggard don’t forget to tell him he’s this week’s Face of the Q and there’s a prize for him in the club.

Onwards to next week and what will hopefully be a much anticipated heat wave. Don’t forget the sun lotion, don’t drink too much and fall asleep in the sun... most importantly, have fun and get on down to Q.

It's all going on!

Well the sun might have had the last few weeks off but the elves in a technology department certainly haven't. Check out our new look website! All three venues combined on one fabulous, vibrant site with all your favourite features: picture gallery, party and VIP booking forms. But now there's more Pizazz & basically... it looks ace. http://www.q-club.co.uk/

Did you know?...

Q Club has some fantastic offers going on and not everyone seems to know about them. For instance, have you heard about our party packages?

It's not just about getting in cheaper or jumping the queue anymore, now you can add to your party experience by treating the subject of your celebration to a personalised sequence on our screens.
For a nominal fee, all your group needs to do is send us 10 photos of your friend, along with his/her name, the date and purpose of the party and any personal messages you and others in your group wish to add. Our technical expert will then construct a short montage including your messages to be shown on our promo screens at regular intervals all night.

That means your mate's face on 7 screens throughout Q Club and Qube. They'll be embarrassed but they'll love it.

Then there's Face of the Q, our long running weekly visual promo. Be sure to check the screens every week to see if you've won. If you've had your picture taken in our club on any of the nights we open, you could be a winner.

And you just can't beat our Wednesdays. With drinks promotions to rival even the cheapest pubs, the crowds go wild for our Vodka/dash £1 special. Talk about beating inflation and staving off the economic rises -- we keep cheap cheap cheap for our brilliant customers. So drink and be merry ... Cheesy Wednesdays rule.

it's SUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPEEEEEERRRRRR SUNDAY again people! Some of you have barely recovered from the last one but it's come around again already. Even if you're out the rest of the week, save some of energy for Sunday. Both Q and Qube are open and we're ready to PARTY!!!!

May Play

Ah, May is here, which generally triggers music, merriment, dancing and (probably) a bit of hippiness in all of us -- Not in the Wicker Man sense; that's way beyond normal.
There's been no shortage of merriment in our customers, some drink infused, some drunk on that sporadic patch of sunshine we encountered in April. Hopefully it'll grace us with it's presence again some time soon.

Actually, May has been a bit stormy. Last Friday was insane! The thunder and lightning went on for hours, yet still some of you braved it to the Q Club, brolleys in hand, combs in bag & a taxi number just in case. Well done to all of you, you showed off some true Exmouth grit.

Reflecting back to one of our March blogs, I have the pleasure to announce that we have finally discovered the identity of Batman! Well done to Gary Heywood  & Sophie Coppledick for keeping us guessing for so long - your vouchers have been emailed to you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ

Congratulations to our very own Liz Wadeson who finally turned 18 a couple of weeks ago. Heaven knows it must have been hell to work in a night club and not be able to drink in it! And there's a flurry of 18's this month, with Steve Lewis and Katie Burns also hitting the same milestone... Happy Birthday to all of you!!

COMING SOON, THE ALL NEW Q CLUB WEBSITE....

Right Royal Knees up!

Love it or hate it, the Royal Wedding has certainly had an impact on everyone. But she did look very pretty, didn't she? And Will's not a bad catch either.

It was great to see a few ladies out in wedding dresses last night & the groups in red, white and blue. It was also great that many of you who attended street parties decided to end your night boogieing in Q. Ah, you can't beat a bit of Patriotism occasionally... normally it's non-existent unless there's a World Cup.

So anyway, in light of the general good feeling and the gooiness brought on by all this regal smooching, we thought we'd run our competition again.... Tag Qube in your most romantic kiss picture and we'll pick the one we feel is best to rival that of our future King and Queen. It's time to pucker up and get tagging. You have until 20th May & we'll announce the winner on here.

Royal's aside - it's only another Bank Holiday! And Bank Holidays mean one thing: SUPER SUNDAYS!!!!
Last Sunday was fab - Q and Qube was buzzing with merriment and I predict this one will be even bigger, even better! Pack away those barbecues; the rain is coming ( boo hoo) but the good news is, with the Qube entrance open, you no longer have to queue!

Incidentally, have you got yourself a Q Plus card yet? It's free to apply, free to receive and it saves you £1 every night we're open, including New Year's Eve!

New offer too, bottles of wine on sale behind Top Bar in Q Club as well as in Qube & Lush! Ask at the bar for details.

5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1

Happy Easter!

Ok, Easter is basically about 3 things to the majority of you: chocolate, drinking & extra days off work (pretty much the same as Christmas, come to think about it.) So if you're looking to indulge (sorry, chocolate not included) you'll be pleased to know we're open 5 NIGHTS this bank holiday and next!

We are open:

WED:           10 PM - 2 AM            Q CLUB
THURS:        10 PM - 2 AM             QUBE
FRI:             10.30 PM - 3 AM        Q CLUB
SAT:            10 PM - 3 AM             Q CLUB
SUN:            10 PM - 3 AM             Q CLUB

THEN NEXT WEEK, WE'LL DO IT ALL AGAIN!

Have you heard about our new Birthday Party packages? Not only do you get a discount pre-booking your party online at
you get to jump the queue and, if there are more than 5 of you, you'll get a bottle of bubbly to enjoy. AND new and exclusive, we have our 'QTV' celebration packages.

Send us photos of your friend & we'll create a personalised message on our screens throughout the club on your chosen night. Charges apply, but this fabulous gift is a must! Email Work4Q@gmail.com for more details and prices.

And there's something new in Qube at the weekend... have you noticed yet? After suggestions posted on our questionnaire, we are now playing 80's music in Qube on a Saturday night. That means, what you're listening to downstairs isn't the same as you're listening to upstairs. If you fancy a boogie to a bit of Frankie Goes to Hollywood take your place under that disco ball and rock that 80's thang.

KERPOW!!!!

April Showers? No chance this week. It's been bloomin' glorious! Can't wait to see all those lobster faces and dodgy tan lines in this weekend's club photos.

But the main question on everyone's lips this week is not: Where is all this sunshine coming from? It's not: will it last right through the Easter break? It's also not: who will win this year's Grand National? It's far more pressing than that.
The question on everyone's lips this week is: Who IS batman?
Are you batman?
It's a truth universally acknowledged that, if you pose for your photo in Q, if you pull a ridiculous face, wear something ridiculous or just generally, amuse our selector, you could find yourself winner of our weekly competition:- Face of The Q.

This week though, our selector -- more elusive than the Stig, more elusive even than Deal or No Deal's Banker -- thought he'd throw up a challenge all in the name of April Fool. So  this week's face (pictured above) of the Q is pretty much, well, faceless. If this was you last saturday night, let us know, because you have won a prize.

Wednesday was an absolute blast this week. Looks like our home-grown students are back from their university haunts and they haven't forgotten how to boogie cheesy. And with the Bay open, a few Exeter students milling around and the lads from Lympstone thrown into the mix, the atmosphere was great. It's all about drinking and dancing Cheesy Wednesday Style.

This weekend we have a Sam Zimmerman double to look forward to. If you love him on a Friday, you'll be glad to see him back on Saturday. If you've not heard him DJ before, we're sure you won't be disappointed - he'll have you on your feet.

A note to finish on: all of us at Q bid a sad farewell to the Lympstone Commando chaps off to Afghanistan this coming week. We hope you'll all be back home safe and sound and ready to party soon!

April is the Coolest Month!

Have you seen how many Bank holidays there are this month and next? You'd better have your party heads on!

Ok,  it starts off slow but April will end with a bang. First comes Easter, marking the first Super Sunday of 2011.  But don’t forget  Good  Friday first, bringing your weekend one day closer. So if you want something more exciting than a chocolate egg, kick off the long weekend at Qube—open Thursday 10pm to 2am—  and you’ll get a lie in the following morning.

The King’s Speech has done a lot for our monarchy, so if you’re the future King it’s probably best to use that to your advantage and get married pretty sharpish. Maybe the wedding was announced beforehand or in light of the dismal recession but I’m sure the British sweeping of the Oscars has inspired a  tiny bit of patriotism. And suddenly, everyone’s happy for William & Kate, if not because they’re tying the knot finally, at least for the fact their wedding has given the 9-5’ers another welcome day off.
In turn, that means another fantastic Thursday night in Qube on April 28th and another (though perhaps May Day has something to do with it too) Super Sunday.

April = hardcore partying.

It’s survival of the fittest — can you handle it?

Too many Pancakes?

Ooh pancake day

Well, did everyone indulge on Tuesday? If you think Pancake Day’s bad, remember its Easter in a few weeks so the calories will be stacking up. But don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of chance to dance it off – the Q club & Qube will be opening more than normal next month.

Anyway, enough about April for the time being: what about this week?
Wednesday was great. Thanks to those of you who have suggested ‘Cheesy Wednesday’ to your Facebook friends in return for a shot. Watch out next month for the usual Wacky Wednesday shenanigans you’re all so fond of.

2 fab Fridays, last week and this, with Kevin Kane and Sam Zimmerman respectively. It’s brilliant to see so many people dancing and enjoying themselves. Keep your eyes peeled for a twist of something different on a Friday, coming soon…

Qube went back in time in more ways than one this weekend. Firstly, we had our big VIP group, all dressed in 30’s garb to celebrate the birthdays of Elayne and our former staff member, Heather. Happy Birthday to both of you.
Happy Birthday Heather!

Then came the little experiment. We’ve read what you’ve written on our questionnaire, listened to the individuals who’ve taken the time to chat to us & we’ve trialled the one thing that you guys think Qube really needs – different music to Q.
This week it was great to see everyone dancing right across the club to our mix of 80’s tunes. Feedback was good and the general consensus is, it’s nice to have a choice. We agree, so we’ll be building on that solid foundation.

Now for a touch of novelty to please that someone special. We know how great our promotion screens are for telling you about exciting new products, special offers and opening hours. We also know how successful Face of the Q has been for those of you who like to pose for photos.
Check out our new feature – QTV
Loads of you already take advantage of our great party booking service, with entry concessions and bubbly, whatever your occasion: Birthday, Anniversary, Stag or Hen do etc. How about adding a touch of something special to your night of celebration?
Why bother plastering lamp posts with your friends’ pictures when you can have them on our screens at regular intervals all night for a small charge. To find out how or for more information, either message Qube Exmouth on Facebook or email work4Q@gmail.com. Minimum of 1 week’s notice. Apply early – our spaces are limited.

Next week we'll be warming up to April... we've got some fantastic nights in store for you!

Zing! It's Spring.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Spring has arrived... at least, almost. Technically, it's not Spring until the 21st but the sun's been out this week, so it seems fair to be a bit optimistic.

What a busy week the last week of February was in Q. The month might be shorter but there was no shortage of energy in the club.

Wednesday was packed and what a great atmosphere - when you guys party Cheesy, you party Cheesy! Look out this Wednesday for 'A Little Help from Your Friends' the Facebook/Shot promotion. Then it's on to next week, the day after Shrove Tuesday. I get the feeling there'll be some pancakes featured somewhere along the line.

And what a Friday! DJ Sam Zimmerman is really settling in now and he's getting you doing all sorts of crazy things. It's definitely a first for the Q to have the majority of our Friday customers sat on the dance floor, tapping on the floor in rhythm. Who said the 80's were dead? ' A couple of bars of 'Oops Upside Your Head' and down everyone got. If you haven't come in on a Friday yet, try it ...  You might just like it!

Oops Upside Your Head
Busy night Saturday and finally you've all caught on that entering through Qube is the way to beat the queue. Plus I think it's time to dispel a popular, and unfounded, myth~: QUBE IS NOT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN Q!
The thing that seems to confuse everyone is the vodka. Ok, so we don't sell House Vodka in Qube but we do offer the option to double-up on Smirnoff for just £1. This is a great bargain and the offer is NOT available in Q. Every other product that is served on both floors is exactly the same price on both floors.

Out in a group? Why not treat yourself to a bottle of wine? Our Pinot Grigio is particularly nice served chilled and you can relax with your mates in the seating areas.
Celebrating with friends? Try a bottle of Pink Fizz for just £15.95.

Get cheaper entry with our Q Plus Card - free to apply, free to get & guaranteed discounted entry on any night we open!

Have you filled in our questionnaire? Take a moment to participate and be entered into our monthly prize draw for vouchers and freebies.

RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY!

Bring on the sunshine... soon....please?

What a horrendous week it's been. The people of Exmouth have spent their time too-ing and fro-ing from one  shelter to another and sometimes, from one pub to another.
Thanks to all of you who braved the downpour this week, especially those of you wearing mega high-heels and not much else.
Next time it's wet like this spare a thought for our doormen too, who are out there come rain or shine, soggy and cold, with nothing more than the occasional cup of coffee to make things better.... aw bless ;)

Moving swiftly on to this week's little competition in honour of Valentine's Day. Thank you to all who participated by tagging Qube Exmouth in your (or a friend's) mushiest picture. They all had our judges cooing with the romance of it all - even Sarah Bradley's frogs getting jiggy with it - but finally a decision was reached:-

In 3rd Place: Naomi Hall & Tony Evans smooching.
In 2nd Place: Vikki Ingram & Sam Lake floating

Finally, 1st Place, by unanimous decision:

CONGRATULATIONS TO CARLY SHAW AND TOBY FOORD!

Carly Shaw and Toby Foord
Winners of our Valentine's Photo Competition

To collect your prize, please inbox Qube Exmouth on Facebook with your email address, I'll send details from there.

So, it's one week until payday, which surely should mean you're all using this weekend to spend what you've got left?

Don't forget, if it's raining on Saturday night, take advantage of Qube's front door being open between 11pm - 1am. We regret we cannot take coats at this entrance, but you can pay & get stamped as normal. Quicker entry means more drinking and dancing time, plus more chance of staying dry -- it's a win, win situation.

If you haven't got a Q Plus card, why not? Visit this link to apply now  http://www.q-club.co.uk/html/apply_now.html  It's completely free and you'll receive £1 off every night we open. That INCLUDES New Year's Eve. Don't miss out.

Crikey, No likey!!!

There are hearts just about everywhere and more than a few white-knuckled lads dithering around the cuddly toys in town wondering if they can pluck up the courage to buy one - must mean that Valentine's Day is almost here.
OK, so there are the inevitable grumbles that come with it, most  blaming the Card Shops or indeed, the Americans, for creating & then cashing in on a load of nonsense, but there are some romantics out there so we'd better do our bit for the slushy ones... here's a cute little cupid, awwwww.

In typical fashion this Wednesday, Graham Daniel (always a sucker for a novelty) helped to get you in the spirit of it with his very own version of 'Take Me Out'. Now there was a bit of confusion and a couple of technical issues with the fancy lamps, but it all added to a hilarious game of modern 'Blind Date.'

NO LIKEY, NO LIGHTY

Guy one, proclaiming to be a Fire Man, did absolutely nothing for our girls because, even in spite of being greased with baby oil and flexing his muscles for the excited masses on the dance floor, all the lights went off. Fireman Sam could only hang his head and skulk off into the crowd.
Guy number 2 I don't remember much, so I reckon he probably didn't last too long.
But Guy 3 had the desired effect and eventually ended up with a date who he proceeded to get 'familiar' with right away!

STEADY ON!
The couple have won a romantic dinner for 2 at Exmouth's new fab bar, The Grapevine. What they'll think of each other, we don't know, but we'll post the gist of it on the blog next week.

Also on Wednesday we had a special shout out to long serving staff member and Exmouth legend Daniel Burns. Sadly he bottled out of 'Take me Out' but he was still willing to strut his stuff on the dance floor after a few sherbets. Happy Birthday Dan. Hope you had a brilliant night... I know we did...

Happy Birthday Dan!

Sam Zimmerman went  down a storm again Friday night. The dance floor was packed all night - his tunes were obviously encouraging them to work up a sweat....

Another busy Saturday with Resident DJ Graham Daniel. We had them all in this week, from Tuxedos to Life Guards. What a buzz all night and Qube was busy too. Some of you are really taking advantage of our Double-Up on Smirnoff for just a £1 !!! (Offer exclusive to Qube).

And my favourites are the smug ones. The ones who've learnt already that instead of standing in a long queue, for 2 hours between 11pm- 1am the Qube door is open so you can get in that way. No waiting. No Queue. No Fuss.
We regret though that we cannot take coats etc upstairs as the kiosk isn't open at the end of the night for these items to be collected. Even so, it's little hassle to use the cloakroom downstairs.

Don't forget to join in our Valentine's Day fun game - the winner of which will be announced on this blog next week. Tag 'Qube Exmouth' in your cuttest couple photo for your chance to win. It doesn't have to be a picture of you, it can be friends/relatives, but if the tag is unwanted and gets removed, the photo will not be considered. Our favourite picture of all will win the couple in it a special prize!

Happy Valentine's to you all! x
